Tackling food loss and waste and supporting food security during the COVID-19 pandemic

FAO, UN Environment, the Permanent Mission of Andorra to the United Nations, the Permanent Mission of San Marino to the UN, Rethink Food and Collective Fare Kitchen have organized a field visit to discuss food loss and waste, and food recovery in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. During this field visit, which will include lunch, delegates will get a chance to prepare healthy meals with food that would have otherwise gone to waste. The event forms part of the celebrations of the inaugural International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste.
