Intercultural exchange in agriculture can save crops and lives
Cassava, a traditional crop in many parts of the world and a most consumed staple food in many African countries, is faced with a new outbreak of the mosaic disease. Research initiatives and programmes are being worked out, in FAO, in collaboration with partners in Africa, Latin America and Asia, in order to develop pest resistant varieties but also diversify their use.
