CEDAW is not explicit enough on the Right to Food
International NGOs and FAO would like to see the concept of the Right to Food included in Art. 14 on Rural Women, of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women. This concern was voiced at a side-event of the 34th Session of the FAO General Conference (17-24 November 2007) and will be transmitted to the next Convention meeting, next January, in Geneva.
