Today - radio users, enthusiasts, makers and audiences can use the opportunity of this day to encourage major broadcasters and community radio networks to promote access to information, freedom of expression and gender equality over the airwaves. All of these issues are embedded in the very existence of this technology. And as radio continues to evolve in the digital age, it remains the medium that reaches the widest audience worldwide.
