Africa’s perspective on agricultural development in the post 2015 agenda

18 June 2013, Rome- A side event has been organized, during the 38th Session of FAO Conference, to allow FAO members, RBA representatives and other stakeholders, to review recent developments on the post 2015 Development Agenda. With less than 2 years remaining to the end of 2015, the target date for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), a number of processes have been put in place to capitalize on lessons learned, accelerate progress towards the achievement of the MDG targets, identify emerging challenges and opportunities, and explore innovative ways to shape priorities.

Dr. Ibrahim Hassan Mayaki, Chief Executive Officer, New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) highlighted Africa's perspective on food security and agricultural development in the post 2015 agenda.
