Working together for Zero Hunger
In recognition of the importance of partnerships in achieving zero hunger, staff of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and the World Food Programme (WFP) have been awarded for their outstanding team work in Madagascar. The 2016 UN Rome-based Agencies Award of Excellence recognizes their exceptional work in support of the people of the African island nation who have suffered consecutive years of drought and food insecurity. The three agencies – FAO, IFAD and WFP - have effectively leveraged their unique strengths to tackle critical hunger and nutrition challenges in Madagascar
