Irrigation: Making a Difference in Rural Areas

Hybrid Event, 08/07/2022

8 July 2022 | Register

Water is essential for food security and the economic well-being of many local communities. Modernized systems of water irrigation are keys to sustainable resources and methods for saving water and energy for rural development. Irrigation enables smallholder farmers to adopt more diversified cropping patterns and to switch from low-value subsistence production to high-value market-oriented production.

Join the World Food Law Institute Round Table series on Regional Cooperation and Water Resources that will explore case studies on irrigation as a means for rural development.
