Planet Forward Announces Storytellers to Cover the Food Security Conference in Rome
1 July 2019, Washington, DC – Planet Forward announced top three students that will be attending the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) headquarters in Rome mid-October.
Joining us in Rome will be Rohan Agrawal, a Computer Science major and International Relations/Mathematics minor at the University of Mississippi; Lindsay Eberhart, an Environmental Studies major at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, where she’s also a candidate for the Policy, Planning and Law program; and Marisa Umeh, a Business Administration and Media Studies major at UC-Berkeley. The students were selected from an extremely competitive field of applicants from Universities across the United States to participate as observers of the 46th session of the CFS. At the Conference, students will participate in side events, meet with experts, and share updates about their experience and takeaways through videos and a blog series.

Engaging college students from across the country, Planet Forward is an initiative of the George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs that uses storytelling, media, and educational events to tell the stories of invention and innovation.
