LADA/WOCAT QM Participatory Expert Assessment in Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda Dec 2010 January 2011

A first LADA/WOCAT QM PEA workshop was held in Rwamagana (Rwanda) in December while the workshops in Bujumbura, Burundi and Masaka, Uganda (including teams from Tanzania) have been completed in early January.

The data, that will be used for preparing the LD and SLM maps, were captured through a process of Participatory and Consensus Mapping through Participatory Expert Assessment (PEA) Workshops, using the LADA National Assessment methodology.

This method makes use of a Base Map, consisting of the land use systems classes (LUS), and of the LADA/WOCAT QM questionnaire.
