Actividades realizadas o en vías de realización The Mexican government has recently adopted a new policy in order to implement a holistic system for the achievement of food security at national level. The strategy aims at, inter alia, minimizing post-harvest losses and food waste during the processing, storage, transport, distribution and trading stages, as well as enhancing farmers’ knowledge and harvesting techniques.
