This section provides information about food-based dietary guidelines and food guides from the African region.
As of 2020, seven countries in Africa report having dietary guidelines. Considering the increasing double burden of malnutrition in the region, a significant number of countries are currently developing their first set of dietary guidelines.
We invite governments to send us their new or revised dietary guidelines and to notify updates on the information pertaining to their countries.
