Year of establishment: 2001

No. of agri-products under the scheme: 4 types of agriculture-related OTOP products: plants-based, livestock-based, fishery–based, and forestry-based products.

Classification
There is quality classification using stars to grade the product quality called "OTOP Product Champion" done every two years, managed by the Community Development Department, Ministry of Interior. The criteria for classification are as follow:

  1. Exportable and Brand Equity;
  2. Continuous and Consistent; and
  3. Standardization, Quality, and Satisfaction.

As of August 2019, there were 3,742 5-star OTOP products.
Screening and selection at the regional and national levels: The appointed working group at the regional level (consisting of heads of concerned agencies and specific experts responsible for assignment), and a committee at the national level (consisting of institution scholars and experts of the concerned ministries).
