Brussels - Mr Paolo De Castro is a Member of the European Parliament, Member of the European Parliament’s Committee of Agriculture and Rural Development and Member of the European Parliamentary Alliance against Hunger and Malnutrition. The European Parliamentary Alliance against Hunger and Malnutrition brings together 28 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) from different nationalities, political groups and parliamentary committees. Membership is open to all Members dedicated to achieving a world without hunger.

The Parliamentary Front Against Hunger calls on countries to keep food production and supply chains alive and support the most vulnerable
Santiago de Chile - The Parliamentary Front against Hunger in Latin America and the Caribbean today released an open letter calling not to neglect the fight against hunger and malnutrition during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the text, the more than 500 parliamentarians who are part of this legislative network, which receives support from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), stated that in Latin American and Caribbean countries "not everybody has the means to feed adequately in a quarantined state, "and called on countries to ensure that food production, processing and supply chains are kept alive".
