Libreville – Aujourd’hui, dans un contexte de pandémie de la COVID-19 avec ses effets sanitaires et socio-économiques qui a entrainé la perturbation des systèmes alimentaires et l’aggravation de l’insécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle, surtout des groupes les plus vulnérables. Le Bureau Sous-régional de la FAO pour l’Afrique centrale et les Bureaux pays ainsi que leurs partenaires se réunissent à l’occasion de la 13e Réunion de l’Equipe Multidisciplinaire afin d’explorer les stratégies qui permettront de renforcer la résilience et transformation des systèmes alimentaires en Afrique centrale face aux défis créés par la pandémie.

Office of the Central African Republic Parliamentary Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition: normative framework and action plan
FAO, in collaboration with other United Nations agencies and the Network of Parliamentary Alliances for Food Security and Nutrition in Central Africa, organized a day of awareness-raising on food security and nutrition issues for parliamentarians in the Central African Republic. Brazzaville, Republic of Congo - The Secretary-General of the newly-formed Network of Central African Parliamentary Alliances on Food and Nutrition Security (RAPAC-SAN) undertook a first mission to Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, supported by the National Assembly of Gabon, the FAO sub-regional office for Central Africa and the FAO office in the Congo. RAPAC-SAN was created during the Forum of Parliamentarians of Central Africa on Food and Nutrition Security, which was held in Brazzaville from November 19-21, and presided over by His Excellency Denis Sassou-N’Guesso, President of the Republic of the Congo.

Brussels - Members of the European Parliamentary Alliance against Hunger and Malnutrition gathered for the first time since the European Parliament elections at the end of May. The constituent meeting of the Alliance, which took place on 10 December, served as the official kick-off for the work of the Alliance, by setting its strategic direction for the new legislature.
