The Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), QU Dongyu, participated today for the first time at a session of the Development Committee of the European Parliament. African Ministers for Agriculture have emphasized the importance of ensuring food security and nutrition, and continuing agricultural activities during the response to COVID-19 – including production, marketing, harvesting, storage and value addition.
