L’Organisation des Nations Unies pour l’alimentation et l’agriculture (FAO) et la Finlande ont signé aujourd’hui un accord visant à renforcer les capacités des pays en matière de gestion des données et des ressources forestières, notamment en Afrique. Le projet multidonateurs, d’un montant de 7 millions d’USD, sera mis en œuvre conjointement par deux équipes de la FAO: l’équipe chargée de l’Évaluation des ressources forestières mondiales et l’équipe chargée du suivi national des forêts. On 25 November 2021, FAO and the Government of Australia signed a new USD 1 009 710 (equal to AUD 1 300 000) agreement to support the Flexible Multi-Partner Mechanism (FMM), FAO’s main fund for channelling and managing less-earmarked resources to strengthen the achievement of the Organization’s Strategic Objectives.
