Objective:
The objectives of FRWO are: formulation of policies and strategies of natural resources and watershed management as well as planning and implementation of development programs for natural resources and watershed management within sustainable development goals; conservation, protection and sustainable utilization of forests, rangelands, deserts and watershed basins throughout the country; delineation of public properties from private lands to ensure the state sovereignty over national assets; study and survey the watershed basins throughout the country aimed at planning and formulation of integrated plans and implementation of projects for natural resources and watershed management in watershed basins; development of man-made forests and rangelands and forest parks and reclamation of degraded forests and rangelands, as well as development of wood agronomy with emphasis on genetic resources and biodiversity conservation; improvement of activities productivity through optimum planning and monitoring; development of best practices and optimization of production and exploitation systems in the field of natural resources and watershed management though combining science with indigenous knowledge; mobilization of public participation both individuals and legal entities active in natural resources sector and watershed management activities; formulation, implementation and updating of natural resources and watershed management information system aimed at boosting public knowledge and development of a culture that respects natural resources; planning for management and human resources development aimed at boosting.
