Life on Earth: preservation and protection of plants and environment health

The aim of the Conference "Life on Earth: preservation and protection of plants and environment health" is to introduce 2020 International Year of Plant Health (IYPH): an opportunity to face rising challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss and new pests in our globalized world and to contribute to the achievement of 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Experts will provide scientific contributions on the following topics: The Protagonists: Plants, Men and Animals; Desertification; The Trees around You.
The Conference will start with the intervention of some young representatives of the FridaysForFuture Turin movement and interviews to Directors of important national newspapers and United Nations Directors and Officials on how to preserve and protect the environment and our planet.
The Conference is the opening day of a Programme for Schools in the Piedmont region, organized by the Centre for UNESCO in Turin in partnership with Agroinnova, University of Turin, and ITC/ILO, that will end in May 2020.
