AGRITECHNICA ASIA digital talks #2 Post-harvest Loss Briefing: Technologies and Management

AGRITECHNICA ASIA digital organizes the online live talk on “Post-harvest Loss Briefing: Technologies and Management” – Thursday, November 26th, 2020. Invited speakers from Asia and Europe will provide insights from their perspectives in terms of technical options, management skills and knowledge, as well as business opportunities. In many countries these are three important aspects along value chains with huge potential to address several SDGs all at once by reducing food loss and waste.

According to this, the agenda covers two segments:

1. Technologies: Overview and good practice of technologies that are available, what has recently been developed, or what is needed with regard to rice (IRRI), vegetables (WorldVeg), fruits (FAO), and moisture meters (DLG)

2. Management & funding: Examples of upgrading the rice value chain, technical trainings, including on-line FAO Community of Practice on food loss and waste reduction, and business models (funding)
