Technical Platform on the Measurement and Reduction of Food Loss and Waste

Tokyo International University students met FAO officers and were introduced to the transformation of agri-food systems

Rosa Rolle, senior enterprise development officer (FAO/ESN) delivered a presentation on Food Loss and Waste to students at the Tokyo International University. Following the presentation, the director of the FAO Liaison office in Japan, Eriko Hibi, managed discussions including group works. Students shared the situation of food loss & waste in their countries and what actions they may take in their everyday life and inside the University campus. The lecture also served as an occasion to encourage students to engage in the transformation of agri-food systems including possible career paths in the United Nations.
