Low-cost cold storage technologies to boost farmers resilience and income
A new project on affordable post-harvest technologies such as low-cost cold storage equipments to boost farmers resilience and income is managed by Dr Jane Ambuko, a scientist at the University of Nairobi's Department of Plant Science and Crop Protection and CoP on food loss reduction member.
The Daily Nation online newspaper, in an article published on February, 17 by Leopold Obi (The eco-friendly way to preserve mangoes) has reported about this project, presenting the innovative technology applied to slow down deterioration of the fruits while preserving their quality.

The project falls in the Yieldwise programme founded by The Rockefeller Foundation for the reduction of food losses.
