On May 29, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Royal Government of Cambodia in Phnom Penh, to provide grant aid of up to 3.421 billion yen for the Project for Expansion of Water Supply System in Ta Khmau.
This project aims at improvement of access to safe water through expansion of the water supply system in the Ta Khmau District, a suburb of Phnom Penh, whose population is greatly increasing, thereby contributing to improvement of the living environment in the Ta Khmau District and Phnom Penh. This project will contribute to the achievement of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) Goal 6,
