Voluntary Guidelines on National Forest Monitoring now available as an ebook
FAO's publication Voluntary Guidelines on National Forest Monitoring can now be downloaded free as an ebook from iTunes, Amazon or Smashwords. Available in three languages, the ebook can be read online using online readers, or they can be downloaded to other reading devices such as the iPhone, iPad, Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, or to other ereading devices.
Drawing upon FAO’s experience and lessons learned from member countries, these guidelines are designed to support countries’ efforts to strengthen their national forest monitoring capacities. They offer ‘good practice’ principles and a general framework, as well as tools for planning and implementing multi-purpose national forest monitoring in nationally appropriate and scientifically sound practice, taking into consideration domestic information needs and reporting requirements.
