Fighting child labour in agriculture – recent events

On 19-20 July 2010, the second meeting of the International Partnership for Cooperation on Child Labour in Agriculture was held in FAO Headquarters, Rome (Italy).
Following the “The Hague Global Child Labour Conference in May 2010, the partnership members met for a two day meeting in Rome an agreed upon: i) regions and countries for joint work and collaboration: ii) strategies for resource mobilization; iii) and a joint work plan.
On 29 July a South Asia Regional Consultation on Child Labour on Agriculture and Allied Activities took place in New Delhi (India). Both FAO and ILO participated in this important regional conference: www.globalmarch.org/events/sarccla.php
