Sealed Air CorporationSealed Air Corporation participated in the recent Global Food Safety Initiative conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 3 to 5 March. The conference welcomed experts and representatives from food services, food retailers and food and beverage manufacturers from more than 60 countries to discuss the theme “Food Safety: A Shared Responsibility”.
Swedish Environmental Research InstituteA new Nordic Council of Ministers study indicates that food banks can significantly reduce food waste in the Nordic countries. Food banks in Europe serve more than 3 million meals each year – using food that would otherwise have been thrown away.
The Global FoodBanking NetworkThe 9th Annual Food Bank Leadership Institute convened an impressive group of more than 75 food bankers representing 35 countries, representatives from the World Food Programme (WFP) and FAO, numerous corporate supporters, and other thought leaders.
World Food Preservation CenterThe Agricultural Research Organization in Israel has signed a memorandum of understanding forming a partnership with the World Food Preservation Center in the United States of America, with the goal of reducing post-harvest losses of food in developing countries.
