COP26 - An Inter-generational Conversation Among Women and Youth in the Climate Change & Agriculture Arena

01/11/2021
This moderated session featured 3 generations of women involved in the Climate Change arena through an agricultural lens. They addressed the gaps and major barriers to reaching gender equity, youth inclusion, and parity in decision-making roles.

Women and young people have proven to possess the skills to accelerate climate action - while being activists, agents of change, innovators, entrepreneurs, innovators, and much more - but the voices of women and girls from different socio-economic groups are still too often not heard and their specific challenges and priorities not adequately addressed during planning and decision-making processes.

Through concrete examples from our experts, this event highlighted good practices that have contributed to the inclusion of women in decision-making for climate action in agriculture. How far have we come?
