Learning-Oriented Real-Time Impact Assessment (LORTA) Workshop

28/08/2023

Republic of Korea - August 2023.

FAO recently contributed its expertise to the Learning-Oriented Real-Time Impact Assessment (LORTA) program of the Green Climate Fund Independent Evaluation Unit during a workshop in the Republic of Korea. This joint effort aimed to strengthen the capacity to measure the impact of GCF-funded projects, with a particular focus on two FAO-implemented initiatives: the Ouémé Basin Climate-Resilience Initiative (OCRI) in Benin and the Public-Social-Private Partnerships for Ecologically-Sound Agriculture and Resilient Livelihood in Northern Tonle Sap Basin (PEARL) in Cambodia. The four-day workshop addressed various aspects of impact evaluation, including development of a theory of change, experimental design, the use of spatial data, data collection, budgeting, and timing. FAO's active participation in these projects reflects its commitment to effective and evidence-based climate resilience and agriculture interventions.
