New Approaches for Data Collection on National Agricultural Research Systems

Virtual Event, 17/10/2024

The webinar "New approaches for data collection on national agricultural research systems" will be held on October 17, 2024 online.

The webinar will describe how research institutes consolidated their information systems based on Agricultural Science and Technology Indicators (ASTI), a world-leading programme for the collection and analysis of agricultural research data.

Their purpose is to make data collection at the national level more efficient and sustainable, increasing the frequency and relevance for greater appropriation and use by the countries, at the same time that the collection rounds do not depend on donor resources. Lessons will emerge from the pilot projects to be transmitted to the rest of the countries and thus be able to advance in a global round scheduled for 2025.

The event is organized jointly by FAO, FONTAGRO and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture.
