Achieving Zero Hunger by 2030 in Africa

Khartoum – On the sideline of the 30th session of  FAO Regional Conference for Africa (ARC) the FAO Representative to Sudan Babagana Ahmadu had a meeting with Kanayo F. Nwanze, FAO Special Goodwill Ambassador for Zero Hunger for Africa region.

During the meeting talks focused on the food security challenges facing the region.

Achieving zero hunger is at the heart of FAO’s work, and the Organization is working with governments and partners in the region to mainstream food security, nutrition and sustainable agriculture in public policies and programmes.

In his role as a FAO’s Goodwill Ambassador for Zero Hunger, F. Nwanze will help promote a better understanding of FAO's vision of a world free of hunger and malnutrition.
