The farming machinery hiring centre was recently launched through the “Climate-Smart Crop and Mechanization Systems Scaling-up” project in Sri Lanka. Several distinguished guests were present for the launch of the farming hiring centre in Sri Lanka. Dr. Ajantha de Silva, Mr. Chandrasoma Pieris from the Ministry of Agriculture and Dr.WMW Weerekkon, the Director General of Agriculture were all present to inaugurate the centre in Puliyankulama, Sri lanka. Hon. State Minister Mr. Shasheendra Rajapaksha was also present.

This was all made possible through the collaboration between the government of Sri Lanka and FAO projects supported by Germany.
