Online training on SDG indicators 2.1.1 and 2.1.2

On March 27, FAO is delivering an online training on SDG indicators 2.1.1 "Prevalence of Undernourishment" and 2.1.2 "Prevalence of moderate or severe food insecurity, based on the Food Insecurity Experience Scale (FIES)".
As the custodian agency for SDG indicators 2.1.1 and 2.1.2, FAO supports the efforts of the countries in monitoring target 2.1 “by 2030 end hunger and ensure access by all people, in particular the poor and people in vulnerable situations including infants, to safe, nutritious and sufficient food all year round”. The workshop aims to introduce participants to the statistical methods behind indicators 2.1.1 and 2.1.2.
Expected outcomes:
- Participants familiarize themselves with the SDG target 2.1 and the related indicators
- National institutions are exposed to the statistical methods behind indicators 2.1.1 and 2.1.2.
Participants :
35 participants from 12 countries who are members of the Centre de recherches statistiques, économiques et sociales et de formation pour les pays islamiques (SESRIC) are attending the training.
