A Farm Gate-to-Consumer Value Chain Analysis of Kenya’s Maize Marketing System

This report describes the structure and performance of Kenya's maize value chain and how this value chain has developed under the context of market liberalisation in Kenya. Analysis is conducted at all levels of the value chain, from farm gate to consumers. It evaluates the competitiveness of Kenya's maize subsector  and proposes recommendations for public sector intervention.
