The Kenya Capture Fisheries Value Chain: an AMAP-FSKG Value Chain Finance Case Study

2008

The study uses a value chain approach to analyse the capture fisheries subsectors in Kenya. The study explores the link between finance and governance in a value chain and how it affects the behaviours of the value chain's stakeholders. Upgrading strategies are identified, aiming at simultaneously addressing the chain's profitability, social constraints and the sustainability of fisheries resources.
