The main thrust of this report is to examine the farm machinery and equipment supply chains in three countries. Information from these cases can provide guidelines as a first step in national mechanization strategy formulation. However, a national strategy can only provide a framework for action. Implementation arrangements and agreements will have to be made and for this both private and public sectors have a set of roles and tasks to perform.
