The Red Meat Value Chain in Tanzania - A Report from the Southern Highlands Food Systems Programme

This study is based on an extensive consultation with all the stakeholders throughout the value chain. It proposes a development strategy that improves knowledge, information sharing, public-private partnership, infrastructural and institutional upgrading. It attempts  to provide guidance on how to make the Tanzanian red meat sub-sector competitive at national and international level and support  the chain actors in strengthening their capacity as well as for providing institutional and financial empowerment.
