The Sustainable Food Lab’s Leadership Summit on “Leading into the Future” will take place from 6 to 11 November 2016 in Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania. It will provide an opportunity for participants to connect to industry peers to learn more about critical issues in the food system. Participants will meet new partners and acquire tools to support their efforts to drive sustainability in agricultural value chains. Summit participants will give a close look to the future of overall agricultural development in East Africa, delving into scenarios of how the food system could evolve in the face of rapid population growth, climate change and volatile global markets. Topics will include sector governance, inclusive business models for smallholder sourcing, innovative service delivery models, public–private partnerships, reducing food loss and waste, and climate-smart agriculture.
