This video presents the FAO-FLEGT-EU initiative implemented in San Martìn (2015) to monitor forests by indigenous people, in order to prevent and contrast illegal logging. These forests indeed are under severe threaten by agriculture expansion in the region. The project is expected to strongly enhance forest governance for forest people, allowing indigenous communities to present proposals and have their voice heard.
