This session titled "Ask the Locals" features local scientists in interview, illustrating nine lessons learnt in FLR implementation with real-life examples of achievements, challenges, and experiences in forest landscape restoration implementation. Each lesson could be applicable to any FLR initiative, but is brought to life with the example of a particular landscape participating in the project. Moreover, the "Ask the Locals" session was intended to prompt discussion and audience interaction during the following session titled "Curiosity clusters", which engaged all side-event participants and audience members in small group discussions and concluded with feedback submitted on the effectiveness of the side-event, possible additional lessons learnt, and opportunities to communicate results of the analysis project.
