The International Conference on Forests for Food Security and Nutrition was organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in partnership with Bioversity International, the Center for International Forestry Research, the World Agroforestry Centre and the World Bank. This technical meeting was attended by more than 400 participants, comprising experts from governments, civil-society organizations, indigenous and other local communities, donors and international organizations in more than 100 countries, who made a wide range of important points, many of which are summarized below. This summary contains all the recommendations of the International Conference.
