FAO, IFRC, and the Red Cross Climate Center held a two-day workshop in Timor-Leste to establish and scale up anticipatory action, reported by RTM News (16:20) and Timor Post (9:15). “The workshop focused on building anticipatory action systems through a multi-hazard and multi-sectoral lens to meet the current challenges in the wake of climate change. The approach fits naturally in the country as it experiences an increasing frequency of climate-related hazards such as heavy rainfall leading to floods in 2021, drought, heat extremes, and wildfires’’, said Paula Lopes da Cruz, FAO Assistant Representative in Timor-Leste.
