FAO launched country website for Turkey

Ankara, Turkey – The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) today launched a country website for Turkey, which is available at www.fao.org/turkey.
The homepage aims to provide information about FAO’s ongoing projects and activities in Turkey as well as news, events and recent publications.
The website will also provide information on Turkey’s long-term development and strategic plans with regard to agricultural policies, natural resources management, and improvements to the living and working conditions of rural people in their own neighbourhoods.
Turkey has been a member of FAO since 1948 and the first FAO Turkey Country Office was established in 1982.
