FAO introduces online course 'Methodological Framework for Integrated Land Use Planning'

Ankara -  The first online course on 'Methodological Framework for Integrated Land Use Planning' has started as part of the project called “Integrated land-use planning (ILUP) for Food Security by Enhancing Climate Resilience and Ecosystem Management”, which is conducted by partnership of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and T.R. Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

With the five training modules prepared under the project, it is aimed at acquainting the participants with some methodological tools to analyze spatial data and map results.

The 1-hour online course 'Methodological Framework for Integrated Land Use Planning' includes the following subjects, each lasting for 20 minutes: 

The Importance of Integrated land-use planning (ILUP) for Food Security by Enhancing Climate Resilience and Ecosystem Management, Hakkı Emrah Erdoğan, FAO

•             ILUP's Methodological Framework, Soledad Bastidas, FAO

•             Tools for Integration of Current Spatial Data in ILUP Ingrid Teich, INTA-UCC

Being financed under FAO's Technical Cooperation Programme, the project aims at creating an international guideline on integrated land use and building small-scale farmers' capacity.
