The Committee on Constitutional and Legal Matters
The Committee on Constitutional and Legal Matters (CCLM) was established in 1957 at the 9th Session of the Conference. It held its first session in October 1958.
The CCLM considers specific constitutional and legal matters referred to it by the Council or by the Director-General and resulting from issues enumerated in Rule XXXIV.7 of the General Rules of the Organization.
The CCLM meets in regular Session twice per year.

Membership
The Committee on Constitutional and Legal Matters is comprised of 7 Member Nations and a Chairperson elected by the Council at its session immediately following the regular session of the Conference. The Council elects one Member of the Committee from each of the following regions: Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Near East, North America and Southwest Pacific.
Members are elected for a period of two years and they are eligible for reappointment.
