Austin: make fresh food accessible for all
2018
In order to address the difficulty of accessing fresh food, the City of Austin decided to increase access points to its citizens through mobile markets, farm stands and healthy corner stores and do so in collaboration with the local community and nonprofit organizations. The local community has also been mobilized to design the Austin’s Healthy Food Access Initiative by providing possible solutions to address the issue of fresh food access.
