Strengthening city-region food systems during and beyond COVID-19

Much more than rural villages, urban metabolism depends on its surrounding region for key resources, such as food and water. This dependence puts locked-down cities across the globe under risk. Strengthening ‘rural-urban linkages’ becomes a stake aiming to make urban food systems more resilient to shocks and stresses.
