The IYAFA 2022 UN Oceans side event will provide information to delegates to inform their deliberations on SDG 14.b in particular, but also on 14.4, while emphasizing interlinkages between Sustainable Development Goal 14 and other Goals towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. It will provide an opportunity to leverage action on the occasion of the International Year of Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture 2022 as a major milestone to achieving SDG 14.b and to ensure sustainable use of the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development that leaves no one behind. 

This side event will take us on an inspiring journey across regions, told by fishers, fish workers, policy makers, and others on how to provide access for small-scale artisanal fishers to marine resources and markets.
