The State of Food Insecurity in the World 2015 (SOFI 2015) includes new figures on the number of undernourished people in the final year of MDG cycle and identifies critical factors in the effort to combat hunger
The three Rome-based UN food agencies –FAO, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and the UN World Food Program (WFP) – are publishing the 2015 edition of their annual The State of Food Insecurity in the World (SOFI) report.
The report will be presented at a news conference at FAO’s headquarters by FAO Director-General José Graziano da Silva, IFAD Associate Vice-President Josefina Stubbs and Stanlake Samkange, Director of WFP's Policy and Programme Division. Maurizio Martina Italy's Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies, will participate via videolink from EXPO 2015 in Milan.
