COAG25 Side Event 1 - Food security and sustainable agriculture in the 2030 Agenda – The need for multistakeholder partnerships

This side event is organized by the Governments of South Africa and Switzerland and FAO and will examine experience with multistakeholder partnerships around sustainable food and agriculture for achieving the SDGs. It will discuss how multistakeholder partnerships can support the SDGs through FAO’s Sustainable Food and Agriculture approach; showcase the UN Sustainable Food Systems Programme of the 10-Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production Patterns; discuss Cape Verde’s National Council of Food Security and Nutrition; and explore how to strengthen and make the best use of existing multistakeholder platforms, in support of the SDGs.
