The role of parliamentarians in the Zero Hunger Challenge

FAO has been intensifying its collaboration with parliamentarians in working towards ending hunger and malnutrition and achieving the SDGs. Parliamentarians represent an important stakeholder in the fight against hunger and malnutrition, given their legislative, budgetary and oversight roles among others.

 

FAO is directly engaged with parliamentarians in Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe and Africa, through the Parliamentary Front against Hunger and Malnutrition for Latin America and the Caribbean (PFH LAC), the European Parliamentary Alliance "Fight Against Hunger", the Pan African Parliament Parliamentary Alliance for Food and Nutrition Security (PAPA-FSN) and also through initiatives at the national level.
