IFAD will be announcing a new official role for celebrity Sherrie Silver - the MTV award-winning choreographer, dancer and actress from Rwanda. There are 1.2 billion young people in the world. More than half of them live in rural areas, and these numbers are growing. Silver will be joined by IFAD Associate Vice-President Charlotte Salford and experts on rural youth.
